Experienced chiropractic care for Montana’s active lifestyle.
Meet Dr. Kathy Meyer
I had wanted to become a doctor since I was 11 years old. Graduating in 1993 from Northwest Health Science University in Bloomington MN, I started my chiropractic career working in a severe trauma clinic. Then in 1994 I moved to Montana opening Whitehall Chiropractic. Over the next 27 years I enjoyed watching the children I treated go on to their adult lives while parents become grandparents.
In 2019, I accepted the opportunity to join Ruby Valley Medical Center, which enabled the medical center to become one of three medical facilities in Montana to offer chiropractic care.
The response was so favorable that in 2021, I moved down to RVMC full-time. RVMC has always been innovative. With expanded healthcare services, the Ruby Valley and Whitehall communities have direct access to specialists in a variety of healthcare areas, physical therapy, advanced radiology, lab, ER and in-patient facilities. At Ruby Valley Medical Center, you receive big city healthcare in a small-town atmosphere.
Extremity care is often overlooked when thinking about chiropractors. Plantar fasciitis responds quite favorably to getting the foot adjusted. Same with a sprained ankle. By correcting the underlying structure, the soft tissue is allowed to heal in a more balance manner, resulting in better structural integrity. Knees are particularly sensitive to subluxation. How often do we twist or kneel then get back up and experience discomfort? Wrists ache, tennis elbow, and shoulder injuries account for a lot of people’s problems. After attending a national seminar on advanced extremity adjusting Dr. Meyer spent the next three years personally studying both upper and lower extremities.
Therapy can often be an integral part in reaching a patient’s treatment goals then maintaining them. Neuromuscular re-education, laser, percussion, electric muscle stimulation, and PNF stretching are some of the therapies utilized in the office. Often a patient can be given home care stretches or exercises to help them maintain the level of health they are aiming for.
